Kendra Broom is a distinguished mezzo-soprano celebrated for her dynamic performances and vocal versatility. Known for her ability to captivate audiences, she has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall and Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center. Her Carnegie Hall debut in Berio’s Sinfonia with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra under Ludovic Morlot received widespread acclaim, as did her portrayal of Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, where she was praised as “in voice and character, a perfect Cherubino” by The Philadelphia Inquirer.


With a repertoire spanning classical masterpieces and contemporary works, Kendra has established herself as a versatile and compelling artist. She has portrayed Jack in the U.S. premiere of Ethel Smyth’s The Wreckers, Mélisande in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, and Nicolette in Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges. As an alto soloist, she has performed Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, and Menotti’s Missa O Pulchritudo, showcasing her expressive range and technical skill.


Beyond the stage, Kendra is deeply committed to advancing the art of opera and inspiring the next generation of performers. She regularly collaborates with leading conductors and ensembles, lending her artistry to new and innovative projects. Critics have noted her ability to bring depth and emotional resonance to her roles, creating memorable and transformative performances.
